On February 3rd, a partners’ IDP meeting was chaired by RRC-Magwi County to assess the security situation and discuss humanitarian aid strategies. The following partners attended:
- UNMISS-Torit, Save the Children, LWF, VOICE SS, Steward Women, CAD.FBZ, Women for Peace, Cordaid, Health Link SS, PAGE, FAO, ADRA, OPEN SS, ACTED, GOPA, GIZ, Women Leader Agoro, Youth Leaders, Payam Administrator, Iwire Head Chief, Agoro Boma Chief, CHD, WHO, IMA World Health, and the Gender and Human Rights Commission.
The meeting focused on security risks and the scattered displacement of IDPs across various locations:
- Agoro Maji: 205 Households, 903 individuals
- Omeo: 420 Households, 2,343 individuals
- Amee: 127 Households, 627 individuals
- Ofiriha: 180 Households, 1,080 individuals
- Agoro Central Boma: 263 Households, 1,361 individuals
- Ayii: 168 Households, 832 individuals
- Agoro Chomboro: 229 Households, 1,140 individuals
- Abara: 503 Households, 1,941 individuals
- Nyolo: 377 Households, 1,860 individuals
- Temo: 257 Households, 1,542 individuals
- Obbo: Approx. 200 individuals
- Owinykibul: Approx. 300 individuals
- Ayii Obama: 700 individuals
The security situation in Nyolo Boma remains critical, with reports of 26 injured and 9 deaths due to attacks by cattle keepers.





Humanitarian Assistance Provided by VOICE South Sudan (February 4-5th)
VOICE South Sudan delivered essential aid to displaced individuals in Magwi and Ayii:
Magwi Distribution:
- 5 bags of maize flour (50kg each)
- 5 jerrycans of cooking oil (20L each)
- 5 basins of pigeon peas (Lapena)
- 1 sack of salt (60 pcs)
- 5 boxes of soap
Ayii Distribution (High-Risk Area)
- 10 sacks of maize flour
- 3 sacks of beans
- 1 box of soap
- 1 sack of salt










Storage & Logistics
- Magwi Central Primary School was used as the central storage facility for food and supplies donated by all partners.
Conclusion
The humanitarian crisis in Magwi County is ongoing, with thousands of IDPs scattered across multiple locations in need of urgent assistance. The security situation remains tense, especially in Nyolo, where injuries and fatalities have been reported. Partners continue to coordinate aid distribution and assess the evolving crisis to provide effective responses to those affected.
